Kissimmee, FL at Star Island Resort

Star Island's swimming pool, club house, water fall always a popular attraction.  We used this too and did our sun bathing on Sunday and Wednesday.  Tomorrow we go to Daytona  Beach.

  The hot tub is part of the pool complex.  Maxine's facing the camera.  The hot water felt good on my back from yesterday at Disney.  The tennis courts are below our balcony which is on third floor bldg 25,  Tennis players are on the courts most of the day then they go to the pool to rest and sun.  Yesterday when Dorothy Ann was going on a walk around the grounds here she saw 2 cranes strutting towards her and a squirrel around them.  They are so tame, not afraid of people.

 

DisneyWorld at Epcot theme park, Orlando

Epcot theme park at DisneyWorld.  Dorothy A and Maxine are in front of Mickey and Minnie topiaries.  This is the season for flower and garden festival at Epcot which you'll see throughout the pictures of Disney.

   They have real human characters like Mary Poppins standing at places around Epcot who greeted the public and signed autographs.  We saw Alice in Wonderland and others.  The green shrubs here are snow white and the seven dwarfs.  This is part of the flower and garden displays just for the festival.

   Jaclyn is in the France community which is part of World Showcase.  We enjoyed crepes and french ice cream at one of their cafe's (note:  the information posted pertains to prior photos) 
   Epcot symbol of a giant golf ball.  We rode several rides that we really liked:  Soaring (free flying, hang gliding adventure),  Mission Space (simulates sitting in a space capsule blasting off ),  Biking ship ride in Norway.

It's a rainy day and the mall is full of Disney World wantta bes.

The second picture shows a mat where people dance on it and the screen above them shows what color they are.  Also the back wall is full of all flavors and colors of M and Ms.

Dorothy A took these pictures.  We hope to sun tomorrow by the pool.  It's in the 80s so if the sun comes out we're good to go. We're in Kissimmee, Fl at Star Island.

Here we are in sunny Florida.  We got here this afternoon at 6 pm March 23rd.  It took us 24 hours to drive from Iowa to Orlando...Lorimor to Orlando.  Dorothy Ann, Jaclyn, Maxine and Jack are at Bonnet Creek in Disneyworld.  See you tomorrow.

Las Vegas 2011

My jacket has CSI on it, Las Vegas location.

We spent the last week (March 5-11) in Las Vegas.  Jack and I flew on AllegiantAir.  Sunday March 6th was Nascar racing in Las Vegas so we want to see if it's popular everywhere since we have Daytona 500 rentals each year. This blog is just to see if I can post it.  I'll post more starting March 22nd when Jack, Jaclyn, Dorothy Ann and I travel to Orlando with a stop in Nashville.  See you all there.
