Back Home Sunday 4/3/11

Daytona Beach, FL April 2011

Dorothy Ann walking on the beach.  We started our drive back to Iowa from Daytona to Nashville then yesterday we drove from 7:30 am until we got home at 7 pm.  We saw lots of campers and fifth wheelers coming with us our of Florida.  Snow birds must migrate April 1st back north.  We saw very few semi trucks yesterday on the interstates maybe they didn't want the wind which was a force.  We're glad to be home again and yesterday was 87 degrees here in Lorimor. WOW.  However today is cold again, ugh!   Thanks for following our trip and to Lori/Larry/Eric/Shirlee thanks for doing a fantastic job on keeping our home safe.  I really liked the clean kitchen and fresh ness of the house.

Nashville Ryman Theater

Today we visited the Ryman Theater in downtown Nashville.  We went on a tour of this Bldg. and we got to go into dressing rooms for the performers, this video is taken from the backstage looking out at the seats.  Jaclyn and Dorothy Ann standing in the balcony and the last picture is a photo on the wall of the Everly Bros. and a man in the middle with the last name of Kilpatrick. The Everly Bros were discovered here at the back door by a performer.  The weather has been great here today and we will be heading to Iowa tomorrow.  Hope to see you all there soon!!  Thanks so much for letting us share our trip with you!!  

Daytona Beach, FL We're at the Beach~~~~~~~ April Fool's Day, 2011

Today is a beautiful fay and we are out for a morning walk   and looking for sea shells.

Yesterday was crazy weather in both Orlando/Kissimmee when we left at 8:30 am we had to wait for the severe storm conditions to subside.  At the space center winds and rain caused damage to the space craft that's going up in 2 weeks and that's a short distance from Orlando.  So then we drove to Daytona Beach to stay overnight and the storm was there too.  It moved out very fast and by this morning it was gone.  Dorothy Ann did the chicken running up the wall april fool joke on us this morning (ha, ha)

We had a balcony facing the ocean on beach...very nice.

   We're in Nashville tonight and will be back in Iowa Sunday night at 6 or 7 pm.  See you soon
